Eclipse 2-20

This is one of my best pics of the eclipse the other night. I tried several settings on my camera. Not surprisingly, the Landscape setting was the hands-down winner. With Landscape, the camera doesn't try doing all of its auto-focusing - and it was NOT going to be able to auto-focus on the moon! With some of the other settings, it either couldn't focus, or would grab something like the dog run or the side of the house and be focused on that. I also got some good pictures with the Fireworks setting, but I think Landscape was best.

Isn't it pretty? The whole tree sparkles.
Everything is coated in ice. Shiny, sparkly - and dripping constantly now, in the sunshine! It SOUNDS really funny, dripping and clinking as pieces of ice fall off.

Another Snow Day!

We are having ANOTHER snow day! I just can't believe how much snow we have... this is a picture of the kids outside in the snow this weekend, with what we had THEN! We've got another 6 inches or so now, and it's coming down fast, still. Predicted to be really nasty later when it warms up and rains! UG!!!

In the meantime, I am going to do as I promised my class last night, and post some links that I recommended!

I am posting this using Picasa. It's a great program, put out by Google. You can download it at www.picasa.com and install it.

One reason I love Picasa is that it's so easy to put these pictures on my blog! I can also e-mail pictures, and it will resize them for me automatically. And it allows me to decide which places on my computer it should watch for new pictures, but that I can also tell it NOT to use images that it finds in other places. (like in my program files, where there are lots of logos, etc!)

February!

Why does anyone read this blog? If you read it, let me know - and why. I would like it to be worth reading - so need to find out why people want to read it!
